Joseph R. Bell received a B.A. from Bloomsburg University, an M.B.A. from Michigan State University, and a J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He has worked as a securities attorney for the Michigan Department of Commerce, consulted for startup and turnaround ventures, headed entrepreneurship centers at the University of Colorado at Denver and the University of Northern Colorado, and is currently an assistant professor in the UALR College of Business.

Tad Bohannon received a B.A. from Hendrix College in 1986, a J.D. from UALR in 1992, where he served as an assistant editor of the UALR Law Journal, and an LL.M. in taxation from Washington University in 1993. He served as staff attorney assigned to the Honorable Morris S. Arnold at the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, as an associate at the Gill Law Firm, and is currently a partner at Wright, Lindsey & Jennings LLP, where he practices in the areas of municipal corporations, taxation, real estate, municipal finance and business law.

Christopher D. Brockett received a B.S. from Arkansas Tech University in 2001, a J.D. from UALR in 2004, and an LL.M. in taxation from the University of Miami in 2005. He is an associate at Hyden, Miron & Foster PLLC, where he practices in the areas of corporate, tax, probate, commercial and business law, and estate planning.

Biographical Information: Tiffany Milligan Brown received a B.A. in political science from UALR in 2002 and a J.D. from UALR in 2005, where she served as the Research Editor of the UALR Law Review. After graduating from law school, she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Lavenski R. Smith of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. In August 2007, she became a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Richard D. Taylor of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas. In August 2008, Mrs. Brown will return to clerking for the Honorable Lavenski R. Smith of the Eighth Circuit. In addition to clerking, she currently serves as the editor of the Eighth Circuit Bar Association Newsletter.

Michael Johnson received a B.A. from Washington State University in 1970, and a J.D. from the University of Washington in 1973. Since that time he has been employed in the U.S. Department of Justice, originally in the Civil Rights Division and since 1984 in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Arkansas, where he has served at various times as First Assistant U.S. Attorney, U.S. Attorney and currently serves as Senior Litigation Counsel. He has taught at UALR numerous times as an adjunct, mostly in the Lawyering Skills II course.

Jeremy B. Lowrey received a B.A. from the University of Tulsa in 1987 and a J.D. from the College of William and Mary in 1991. He has served as appellate defense counsel and the deputy chief of the Capital Post-Conviction Division of the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System, as well as maintaining a private practice of law. Currently he practices in the areas of federal appellate practice and habeas corpus, criminal trial practice and general litigation.

Patrick W. McAlpine is a Staff Attorney in the corporate legal department at Staffmark/CBS Personnel in Little Rock, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of contract law, intellectual property and trade secret law, employment law, immigration law, and commercial litigation. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Arkansas summa cum laude (1996) and his J.D. degree, with high honors, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (1999), where he was Editor-in-Chief of the UALR Law Review. Grif Stockley — Law & History of Race Relations in Ar

Griffin J. Stockley received a B.A. from Rhodes College in 1965, and a J.D. from the University of Arkansas in 1972. He served as staff attorney for the Center for Arkansas Legal Services for three decades, during which time he argued numerous landmark cases before the Arkansas Supreme Court. He also served as staff attorney for the Disability Rights Center and the ACLU of Arkansas. Currently he is the Dee Brown Fellow at the Central Arkansas Library System Butler Center for Arkansas Studies. Besides being the author of a series of legal novels, he has written two award-winning non-fiction histories: Blood in Their Eyes: The Elaine Race Massacres of 1919, and Daisy Bates: Civil Rights Crusader from Arkansas.

Born in Louisiana, Rick Taylor attended Centenary College and the University of Arkansas School of Law. He practiced bankruptcy and commercial litigation at Friday, Eldredge and Clark prior to taking the bench in January, 2003. He was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America and the Arkansas Times for his expertise in bankruptcy. He taught undergraduate real property law at UALR and bankrutcy law at the University of Arkansas School of Law.
