Felecia Epps was certified as a Judge Advocate by the Department of the Navy in 1984 and served ten years in the United States Marine Corps as a military attorney. Her military assignments included work as defense counsel, trial counsel, civil law officer, and legal assistance officer. Following her military service, Professor Epps pursued her commitment to serving the community by working for Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) as Managing Attorney of its Albany office. After six years with GLSP, Professor Epps joined the staff of the Bowen Legal Clinic in 1999. From 1999 to 2001 she served as Supervising Attorney of the Mental Health Law Clinic. Professor Epps teaches Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure.
