Assistant Professor Kelly Terry joined the law school faculty in 2006 as Director of the Public Service Externship Program and Pro Bono Opportunities.  Her background in public service includes work at both the federal and state levels.  Professor Terry began her legal career by joining the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. through its Attorney General’s Honors Program.  While with the Justice Department, she was a trial attorney in the Civil Division’s Office of Consumer Litigation, representing federal agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration.

Professor Terry later returned to Arkansas and served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Appeals and Civil Litigation Sections of the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office.  Immediately prior to joining the law school, she was a partner in the Little Rock law firm of Williams & Anderson PLC, where her primary practice areas were business litigation and appellate advocacy.  A graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville School of Law, she was Editor-in-Chief of the Arkansas Law Review.
