Moot Court Team Excels at Emory Competition
A team from the UALR Bowen School of Law Moot Court Board finished as one of the top eight teams at the 2009 Emory School of Law Civil
Rights and Liberties Moot Court Competition. The event was held Oct. 8-11 in Atlanta.
Team members Tara Kpere-Daibo, Dean Kpere-Daibo, and Daniel McFadden competed against 24 teams from across the country. The competition involved the issue of prohibitions on the depiction of animal cruelty and the exclusion of expert testimony on eyewitness identifications.
The team successfully argued three rounds and earned the fourth-highest brief score in the competition.
